Freight forwarding veteran Christian Böttcher (pictured above) is the new EMEAI regional head for Leschaco Group.
Mr Böttcher, who takes up the role on 1 August, has more than 25 years’ experience in freight and logistics and most recently was MD of Röhlig in Germany.
He was previously global vice president of ocean freight forwarding at US logistics company UTi, prior to its acquisition by DSV.
“We are very pleased that Mr Böttcher is joining our group of companies,” said Jörg Conrad, Leschaco owner and chief executive. “He has comprehensive international professional experience and a proven track record in freight forwarding operational, product, procurement, sales and tradelane development.”
Mr Böttcher will based at the company’s headquarters in Bremen and will report to chief operating officer Oliver Oestreich.
Leschaco Group reorganised its management structure in January with increased market responsibility devolved to regional levels, creating what it calls “a strong model for the future and is in a position to increase the quality of its services by coming even closer to its customers”.
