Alan Kenning has left Damco, where he was head of key account and strategic sales, to join Allport Cargo Services. He has been appointed executive director of its supply chain management division.
Mr Kenning has worked in logistics for 23 years, starting as a management trainee with Maersk in 1992, and working his way up through the AP Møller group in a variety of customer and supply chain management roles. He has also worked for Deloitte Consulting,
Allport CEO Charles McGurin said: “Alan’s appointment marks an important step for the supply chain management function. Ours is already one of the strongest in the industry, but Alan’s knowledge and experience will help us to move forward into the next exciting stage of growth.”
