Narcís Pavón (pictured above) has been appointed as chief operating officer of APM Terminals Spanish Gateways, responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the port operations of Valencia, Barcelona, Castellón and Gijón terminals.
He was previously head of asset maintenance of the import and export terminals of APMT in Spain.
He has also previously been CEO of APMT Barcelona and, before the purchase of the TCB Group terminals by APMT, he was responsible for TCB Barcelona.
Mr Pavón will report to the company’s CEO, Carlos Arias.
He holds a degree in civil marine from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a master’s degree in logistics, materials and supply chain management by the Institut Catalá de Investigació Logistica.
